Whether you watch the television show or not, from the 15th of July to the 4th of September 2016, costumes from this 1920s style TV show came to town, at Old Government House at QUT Gardens Point. Even if you don't watch the show the outfits are stunning!
Check out this hat!

Who wouldn't love these satin pyjamas and fluffy bolero. The top and slacks on the second mannequin I'd easily wear today. It shows that fashion hasn't really changed so much in the last 100 years and that well designed pieces will always be timeless.

Whilst this outfit is part of a 1920s exhibition it could just as easily be part of a 1970s exhibition, just look at those 1970s colours!. It just goes to show that fashion really doesn't change that much!

A design on a conserved 1920s beaded dress. The amount of work that would've gone into the making of this is incredible. These outfits were made out of natural materials such as silk and didn't last that long which makes it more of a rarity. The material now has a new silk backing to keep it together.

Designers need to go back to making stylish suits like these for ladies. How freeing must it have been for a woman in the 1920s to wear something like this with pants after centuries of skirts!

Tennis anyone? Beautiful if somewhat impractical for tennis. Elegance abounds in the 1920s right down to the knitted wool tie. You can imagine yourself playing a light game of tennis and the finishing with cocktails on the terrace.

The magician's assistant mermaid costume. Now that's a work of art!
