Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

I always wonder where people come up with their ideas. This winter we were getting approximately the same temperatures the UK was getting for their summer. So that makes someone who lives in a subtropical environment think - we need snow!!!

For those who are a bit more outdoorsy or have kids, the Brisbane Winter Festival is on few a few weeks over winter every few years. Ice skate, toboggan or make snow balls in a sub-tropical environment! There are penguins to hire to push around for the less steady of us on our feet on the ice.

There are also bars and food for those of us who prefer to be spectators and laugh at all the adults trying to skate that have never done it or haven't done it in years.

Let's hope it comes back in future years!
