Northside cafes - Let Minnow Cafe Clayfield

There's a wave of good food and drink rocking the suburbs in Brisbane. Another can off the rank is Let Minnow Cafe near Eagle Junction Station. It's in what appears to have previously been an old corner store but most recently was the Clayfield Aquarium Store.
Come here just to check out all the fish puns on the back off the staff shirts or quirky walls. When you order at the counter you don't get a number but instead get a local street name.
They have both a lunch and an all-day breakfast menu, with items such as acai bowls, sweet potato fries and chicken burgers. It was very popular the Sunday lunch that we went but there is plenty of staff so service was quick.
just be aware that it's all wood inside so sound bounces around and it can be loud. As a result I couldn't hear that an item was missed from my order when read back to me but the staff fixed that up quickly for us with no fuss or charge.
If you like it quieter, pick a cooler day and sit outside under the large awning. This place has potential to be a favourite with locals.
